Frequently Asked Questions
Q. My church doesn't believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, which I received at the Advance. What should I do; leave my church?
A. Not unless you feel led by the Lord to do so. He may use you as the impetus to bring that anointing into your church. However, you need support, so we suggest you find a nearby FGBMFA Chapter to be that support, or a "believing" Bible Study of peers that can be a support group.
Q. Is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit a one-time experience?
A. NO! It is an ongoing anointing to make you Spiritually strong, and to edify the Body of Christ. We should ask the Lord to Baptize us afresh in His Holy Spirit daily.
Q. My faith seems weak and I want it to be stronger. How can I build it up?
A. Several ways; first, the Bible tells us that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17) So the more time you spend reading the Bible, the better your faith will increase. Second, you can ask God to increase your faith. Third, you can ask God for the Gift of Faith, which is a Spiritual gift given by the Holy Spirit as needed.
Q. People at times come to me and say the Lord told them to tell me to do this or that. What should I do?
A. We must try to discern the Spirit. There are many false prophets out there, as well as many well meaning people who think a thought of theirs was from the Lord. We suggest you seek the Lord on what you've been told; if it is from Him, He will confirm it.
